HI$TO Shares “GEMS”, New Collection of Original Club Music

Baltimore-born, globally-rooted artist HI$TO returns with “GEMS”, a vibrant and genre-defying collection of originals created between Baltimore, Maryland and Salina Cruz, Mexico. Rising out of Baltimore’s club scene and infused with Afro/Latin House, Trance, Kuduro, Guetto and Baltimore Club, “GEMS” is the next step in HI$TO’s mission to fuse cultural rhythms and electronic energy into something bigger than nightlife.

Building on the momentum of his 2022 debut full-length “COSMIC” (which featured collaborations with Neru The Fourth Fugee, DK The Punisher, Chelsea Monae and Mr. 14th) and his 2023 project “Taco Papi,” HI$TO now digs deeper into his international club vision — one shaped by Mexico, Brazil, Portugal and the U.S. The music is made for raves, after-hours, open roads, and personal spaces alike.

Inspired by the raw pulse of nightlife and the freedom of global sound culture, each track on “GEMS” is made for movement, connection and shine. “Whether you’re on the dance floor, cruising through the night, or just vibing in your own zone,” HI$TO says, “these are the ‘GEMS’ made for you to shine to.”

With a career rooted in visual art, DJing, production and sound design — and a history of placements and collaborations across the musical spectrum — HI$TO isn’t just dropping music: he’s forging a path for artists of color, bridging scenes, and rewriting narratives. “GEMS” is the soundtrack for that mission.
